Welcome!

Jiu jitsu is a traditional Japanese martial art that takes a practical, common-sense approach to training and to self-defence. It relies upon the application of technique rather than strength, and teaches a wide range of techniques that can be tailored to suit anyone, regardless of size, shape, gender or fitness. It promotes awareness, confidence, and adaptability, which are key elements of self defence.

We train in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and always welcome beginners. Whether you are new to martial arts or have trained in other arts before, all you need is a willingness to learn. The club is open to anyone over the age of 18.
If you're interested, please come along to watch, or better, to join in. We will be happy to have a chat with you and answer any questions you may have. Bring some loose, comfortable clothing to train in (tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt would be ideal).
